Best Concrete Sealer Review

1. StoneTech BulletProof – Best Outdoor Concrete Sealer

With this sealer, you’ll be able to protect pretty much anything made of concrete. It is perfectly suited for exterior use and can cover up to 100 square feet of surface. The water-based fluoropolymers formula, in turn, will ensure maximum protection. StoneTech, the manufacturer, backs its product with a limited lifetime guarantee, which is even more reason to pick it over the competition.

Sadly, there are minor problems with quality control that the company needs to fix. For example, some buyers report half-empty bottles. Others claim StoneTech sent them an outdated product for the full price. Again, there’s nothing major about this issues, but still, do keep that in mind.

Ask Question

If not for the disappointing issues with quality control, I’d say StoneTech made one of the best sealers on the market. It is quite efficient, easily handles exterior surfaces, and covers a lot of ground with one single bottle. Plus, it includes a lifetime (limited) guarantee. If you’re not happy with the package, do contact the company’s support.

2. Tuff Duck – Best Sealer for Outdoor and Indoor Concrete Countertops

Got a countertop or a sink in need of a sealer? This bottle by Tuff Duck might be exactly what the doc ordered. It’s not very big (24 oz. or 750ml), but will be more than enough for some regular household needs. Besides, you can get it for cheap: the price is well below the industry average and holds great value. The package also includes a detailed user manual with step-by-step instructions.

When applied, this sealer goes really deep into the concrete and creates a protective shell on the surface. As a result, you get “double-sided” protection. The only downside – it doesn’t go very well with polished and/or honed surfaces. You can still use it, of course, but my advice would be to look elsewhere. Other than that, it will be a safe bet.

Looking for an affordable sealer that will protect your sinks, countertops, and other concrete surfaces? Check out what Tuff Duck has to offer. With this product, you’ll get above-average protection, ease of use, and a detailed guide. It’s not suited for polished surfaces, though.

3. DOMINATOR SG+ – Best Decorative Concrete Sealer

Here, we have the most expensive sealer on the list. SG+ is produced by Dominator and is easily one of the most effective sealing products out there right now. First of all, it is formulated with top-quality ingredients. Secondly, with SG, you’ll get not only market-leading protection but also a color-restoring finish that will make everything look as good as new.

The formula is easy to apply. It doesn’t have any odors and takes very little time to do its job. Plus, the company officially guarantees that it will last for up to five years. The steep price-tag is the only significant con. So, it’s up to you to decide whether you want to invest in it or not. For some regular applications, the other sealers on the list will do. But if you want a premium-level product, SG+ might be worth the extra dollars.

This isn’t a cheap or averagely-priced sealer. It is available at a somewhat high price but does compensate for that with exceptional ingredients, durability, and a high-gloss finish. In the long run, it will be a good investment. On the other hand, folks looking for a more affordable product might want to skip SG+.

4. MasonryDefender – Best Concrete Sealer for Pool Deck

Last, but not least, let us take a look at the Masonry concrete sealer. As the title claims, it will be a good choice for the owners of pool decks. And, it’s also 100% compatible with many different surfaces. Along with concrete, the list includes stone (natural, sandstone, and limestone) brick, and more. This is an eco-friendly product (water-based) that doesn’t have any odors.

Available Options:
2.5 Gallons

A five-year warranty and a reasonable price are a part of the deal as well. There’s one downside, though. When I was testing this product, I noticed that for some surfaces, one layer wasn’t always enough. For optimal efficiency, I had to apply one or two extra coats. That means you’ll run out of the bottle sooner than you initially planned. But that’s pretty much it for the cons.

Clear, water-repellent protection for a large number of surfaces – that’s what the Masonry sealer is all about. It’s made of eco-friendly ingredients, doesn’t trap moisture, and won’t bother you with any odors. However, for some types of surfaces (mainly, concrete), I recommend applying more than one layer to get the desired effect.

Conclusion

Did you know that concrete is the most popular (commonly-used) artificial material on the planet? That’s right: roads, bridges, buildings – they’re all made of concrete. That’s why it’s so important to consider a sealer, even if you’re a regular citizen, not a construction worker. Pavement, driveways, sinks, and countertops will greatly benefit from a sealer. These products usually have a long-lasting effect and will be money well-spent.

If you’re on a tight budget, Tuff Duck’s sealer might be a good investment. Dominator’s product, in contrast, is the most expensive one on the list but will be a reasonable investment if you need the best quality. Masonry backs its product with a five-year warranty, while StoneTech offers the best balance of price and quality. Yes, there’s enough to choose from, so, take your pick!
